This is a great hotel at a reasonable price but with the renovations going on I was disappointed with paint fumes and no use of pool. Should not be on 2.5 star moderate price with renovations going on

Positives: Convenient location. Good staff. Good restaurant.

Negatives: Completely renovating hotel and could not use pool. Chemical paint smells. Room far to find.

Very friendly staff but overall, not much positive things to say: room carpet wasn't clean, poor TV signal, damaged walls and sink, etc.

Very nice in this price range. The pool area was attractive. They have both indoor and outdoor pools. Breakfast buffet had lots of fresh fruit. Hot food was just ok. Bar food was good for late evening meals. Wireless Internet was strong, but in-secured.

Positives: Way better than other low price hotels I stayed at in the area.

Negatives: Smoking rooms on same hallway as non, but wasn't really an issue.

This is a good family-oriented hotel. It is very nice that it has 2 pools. The staff was very nice and helpful.

Positives: Bed comfort.

Negatives: The hot tub was not running, our remote didn't work, and the pool closed too early.

For the name of the hotel - Holiday Inn - I was very displeased with their room.

I suggest this hotel for the comfort of the room (nice big - king- bed, very comfortable, very clean. The staff was friendly. But I really didn't like the food there. I had a bad experience with the restaurant (the bar) and the breakfast at the room was inaccurate. They fixed it by bringing something else, but the food was cold. The outdoor pool is attractive and the indoor pool looks like a outdoor area. I would go again in that hotel but I would make sure to get something better to eat.

Positives: The room was big and the outdoor pools was attractive.

Negatives: The food that we order for dinner (at the bar) wasn't good - and the breakfast was inaccurate the day after (room service).

The hotel is in a good location, has good potential. It needs a complete update in the worst way!

I would not return to this hotel nor recommend it to friends. I could hardly wait to leave. The pool was not operational. No place to sit near pool. Ping pong table next to pool, dining area smells of chlorine, Noise everywhere.

Positives: The bedding.

Negatives: Telephone not accessible to bed, TV remote not working well, radio clock not working well, staff not helpful, noisy.

Stayed 3 nights. The room looked nice and had an excellent bathroom. The bed was large with nice furniture throughout. My main problems with the hotel were that the walls are too thin. I could hear someone in the adjacent room speaking in normal voice, I could hear people being noisy late at night in the outdoor pool. I could hear people at any time in the hall way talking in normal voice. I also smelled marijuana in the hallways, which I find to be annoying. Also, part of the hotel was closed off for wedding ceremonies including the indoor pool. This was inconvenient since it was raining outside. The location would be convenient for the airport, but for downtown and other activities it was inconvenient. Montreal is a difficult place to drive in. Overall, I was a little disappointed with the level of noise, but I didn't complain to management, but I shouldn't have to.

Positives: Excellent bathroom - nice showerhead, mirrors and sink. Big bed with four pillows.

Negatives: Noisy/walls too thin, smell of marijuana in halls, closed parts for wedding.

It is obviously a high used hotel and this has resulted in a rather shabby and run down condition of the premises. Several of our group experienced insect bites.

Positives: Indoor swimming pool atrium was nice.

Negatives: Location was poor (next to garbage/recycling yard); felt somewhat unsafe due to location.

Hotel is situated very close to P.E Trudeau Airport, very friendly staff. Possibility to leave the car at the hotel and take the shuttle to the airport.

I'm used to Hilton as a 3-star option, and to me this hotel didn't match up. I wasn't expecting much when I picked a Holiday Inn by an airport, but was pretty disgusted with how my room smelled/looked when I first arrived. the lobby and common areas are beautiful and well maintained, but the room itself just looks like it's never received a good cleaning in 5 years (carpet had brown trail worn into it, room smelled mildew). The bathroom was a lot better, but you're only in a bathroom for 1 hr vs. the rest of the time in the room itself. Nice big bed didn't trust the sheets but was exhausted. Im not going to stay at a holiday inn anymore, only did it for convenience sake since it was close to the airport! The hotel staff is amazing, kind and wonderful! I just don't get how such a nice appearance led me to such a bad room!

Positives: The atrium was beautiful, the food was amazing.

Negatives: The hotel room was musty and dirty. I didn't take off my shoes!

The only good thing about this Hotel is the pool area for kids. Have to walk a long way to get to room after waiting over an hour at front desk. The room was old and in need of repairs. Had to wait over an hour to get into buffet restaurant and once inside got no service at all, we had to get our one knife and forks, drinks and plates and then waited almost an hour to get our bill. I did not leave a tip so the manager yelled at me and told me not to come back for breakfast.

Positives: Pool area.

Negatives: Rooms, restaurant, service.

Motel style room with a loud heater/AC and a louder public area where a party was on all night long. The bedding was sub standard and I didn't sleep at all during my stay because of discomfort and loudness.

I would have stayed there, the shuttle and helpful staff was the only positive point, the restaurant a plus, but a major renovation, good cleaning and attention to quality is required to make it a 3 star experience.

-broken & Loose tiles as you walked in the room-unfinished floor in bathroom-room had mildew...hard to breath -coffee maker did not work, called front desk, did not seem to care.-witnessed staff of hotel walking into the hotel exhaling cigarette smoke into the public hallway.-would not return and wish to cancel my "free holiday inn points card" disgusted.
