We founder facilities clean and attractive for the price point; well located with most staff extremely helpful. (However, I am pretty sure a brand new hat was picked up and not returned somehow while at counter at night. Manager was very accommodating. Our only reservations would be the safety of the underground parking lot: as on a slippery night, a car came out as we were in the driveway. (Even the button machine was not well located. Restaurant was adequate but we did not use it. Free coffee etc would have been nice but.. and even vending machines for pop or milk would have been helpful rather than going outside. However, we certainly appreciated the price point and the over all atmosphere. And as to parking, last year we stayed at the same time across the way and paid 30 more for room and 20 for parking; safety more the concern.

Positives: Although I did lose a piece of apparel while in it, the Manager and most staff were extremely helpful, including parking !!

Negatives: The underground parking was treacherous: a car almost came out as we were entering. Also: lack of vending machines.

It was a good stay.. nothing to be excited about. If I were to go back to Ottawa, I would probably venture off to another hotel, but I would not be disappointed if I were to stay there again. Okay location, about a 10-15 minute walk to the downtown area.

Positives: Good location if you want to be somewhere quiet.

Negatives: Bed was uncomfortable, heater casing was broken.

The hotel itself isn't huge, which, when traveling with a child is a good thing. The rooms are nice, the staff is friendly, and the hotel seems clean. They were doing renovations and upgrades when we stayed there, but other than slow elevators 'which is out of their control', this was a nice place to stay. My only real complaints is over-priced parking, and the sleep number beds are not user friendly. However, I would go back as I enjoyed my stay.

Negatives: Expensive parking, sleep number beds weren't great, need more computers in the lobby.

Very easy to find, and all the staff from the front desk to the cleaning staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. We had a great experience and look forward to going back. We would recommend this hotel to everyone.

The Radisson is a good basic hotel with nice, clean and comfortable rooms. Parking in downtown Ottawa is at a premium and the hotel charged $18 per night for guests which I think is a bit high. The machines in the exercise room require a bit of maintenance (pins were missing from the universal gym and a treadmill mat needed adjusting).

Positives: Comfortable bed and quiet room.

Negatives: Parking was expensive.

Not a good hotel if you are traveling with children. No pool and sports room had worn out equipment. Internet did not work in room and place looks like it could use a face lift. Parking is about $21 a day extra. Exercise room felt like a sauna.

Almost on the edge of all of the sights and a block from the underground walkway. If you were going in winter it would be better to go a couple of blocks closer to parliment.

I have stayed at this property and always an excellent value. The parking is $13.00 plus tax but so is any other hotel downtown or more. The capitol buildings are a short walk away as well as the downtown marketplace. The restaurant is pretty good for a hotel restaurant and the web access is nice for free in the lobby.

Positives: The location is great and it is a nice safe property.

Negatives: We had some minor plumming issues but no big deal.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Could walk to mall and restaurants. Whirlpool was not working which was a small inconvenience and the room was too small to accommodate 3 people.

A good location, but not worth the price especially when they make you pay for parking in the garage downstairs. People are nice, but the restaurant is a total. The portions are too small, not well cooked, and much overpriced for such small portions.

I was disappointed for several reasons. It was as if in the mind of the hotel these guests got a deal so we will give them the room across from the elevator beside the housekeeping utility closet. It was noisy all night and we didn't get a good night sleep. We couldn't check ourselves out and we were told it was because we booked on line. We probably wouldn't have gotten put beside a broom closet and across from the elevator either. The restaurant in the hotel was Mexican. Not my first choice. We ate dinner and had to send it back and then had breakfast there and had to send it back (hair in the food) needless to say, we didn't go back a third time! Disappointing experience overall.

Indefinable a hotel for the overnight business traveler, NOT for families especially with children, they are frowned upon by other business guests. Elevators not working 2 of the 3 days, had to walk down 5 flights of stairs with a disabled person, no help at desk. Restaurant staff abrupt and it is very expensive and food not good. Would not stay at this hotel again.

This hotel is good to stay on a budget price. There is virtually no bar or good food. It is near downtown and all restaurants. It is quiet.

Hotel is located downtown near the St. Patrick Basilica. It has a nice restaurant downstairs. The rooms are very comfortable with the new mattresses and free Internet access quite comfortable lodging all in all.

It has great location. The staff there are extremely friendly and helpful. The best feature about this four star hotel is they providing complementary Internet services. We are told they are going to upgrade their Ethernet services into wireless (hope it will still be complementary).

The hotel met my expectations the staff was too nice and cooperative. I liked the Internet-ready-Computer at lobby. I didn't like the room with double bed allocated for a couple. I requested king size bed, but there were no rooms available with king size bed. overall my stay was pleasant.

Close to all the sites and walking distance is easy to activities and dinning. Didn't like the fact that we had to pay for parking while at the hotel. $13 a day was a lot and we hadn't budgeted this into our plans. The canal and market area were wonderful to stroll along and the shopping was really great. The war museum was top notch and worth the money along with the Aviation museum.

Location wasn't great - about 15 minutes from the main tourist areas. Room was small, but clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was terrible - spots were TINY. DO NOT drive here.

Good location. Nice room with desk and easy chair with ottoman and reading light. Internet access in lobby if you didn't bring your computer and wireless available if you did.

We had two rooms at the Radisson and found it to be a good hotel for the price we paid. It is a very basic hotel. No bellman, no room service, a limited restaurant. The rooms are fine, but not anything to write home about. The bathrooms were adequate, maybe could use some remodeling. The hotel was clean and in a quiet area, though it's not really near Parliament (3/4 blocks away). There were some good restaurants in the area. I would stay here again if I got a really good price ($50.00) but I think there are better choices in Ottawa.
