Golden is a town in central eastern British Columbia located 262 km west of Calgary, Alberta and 713 km east of Vancouver. Much of the town's history is tied into the Canadian Pacific Railway and the logging industry. Today, the town's economy still relies heavily on those two influences, but the development of Kicking Horse Resort, along with other outdoor adventure companies, has allowed the town to diversify into tourism. Golden is also home to one of the campuses of the College of the Rockies. Local restaurants include Niko’s Kitchen, Turning Point Restaurant, Jita’s Cafe, and The Wolf’s Den.

9 OUT OF 10 It is a beautiful spot! Nicely treed. The only two complaints are we were told wifi doesn't work well if you're in the trees, and the out of the tree spots cost more, NOT because of the wifi, but because,, well just because. that's the rules. The only other gripe is the water in the showers .....
