Positives: I caught a fish and managed to have a enjoyable time with my friends. We made the best if a bad situation.
Negatives: To many to list, go there if you need a better explanation.
Comments: There is no doubt that the scenery and majestic beauty of the lake is without question beautiful. However, there are some considerable problems with Sheridan Lake Resort and it's management. We had a group of 8 mature men who are getting involved in fishing as a new relaxing hobby. When we booked for our stay at Sheridan we were told the cabins sleep 6 there was 20 feet of free dock space per cabin, firewood was free, the cabins had barbecues, came fully equipped with kitchen utensils and they had boats and motors for rent. The cabins sleep 3 (we had to rent a third cabin upon arriving) dock fee was $5.00/day (not incl.), if you want firewood bring your own axe and be prepared to carry it for 300 yards because you can't use your vehicle. If you need a boat you can rent one for $60.00, however, if you want a motor that's extra and it's a big lake to paddle. The owners of this place do everything backwards of what a good business person would do. Caught 1 fish and went home more stressed than when I showed up. Dealing with these people is a nightmare, everything they promise is not true, save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.
