Hodder House is a vacation or long term rental located in New Bonaventure.
We are pleased to offer you our three bedroom one bath 19th century home for your vacation. One of only 5 curved roof homes known in the area, Hodder House is located in New Bonaventure, Trinity Bay, in the heart of a traditional Newfoundland Outport fishing village. Home to Rugged Beauty Boat Tours as well as the Random Passage Site, New Bonaventure has more than meets the eye. In fact Hollywood has called twice for the feature films The Shipping News and most recently The Grand Seduction for the beauty and authenticity that New Bonaventure has to offer.
Hodder House was named after Joseph and Elizabeth Hodder who were the former owners. Uncle Joe, a renowned fisherman, and Aunt Lizzy as they were known, were very well respected by everyone in the community. A three bedroom one bath traditional circa 1895 outport home that sleeps eight awaits you. Simple styling with a mix of modern amenities assures you of a comfortable and memorable stay. Stunning views from all rooms will have you staring at the ocean.
