Positives: Sweet dog. Nice back patio. Good to be in Gimli, close to the centre of town, and quiet neighborhood.
Negatives: The damp basement bedroom was just not a place we enjoyed being. Decor was dated and the mattress had seen better days. There was no view of anything through the tiny window. Breakfast was unimaginative, very basic. We felt it was extremely overpriced. The pool was covered with a tarp that was covered with debris. The door lock did not work well. We heard snoring from another room.
Comments: We found the accommodation disappointing and very poor value. The room was in a low ceiling, very damp basement with a small window and poor air circulation. We enjoy b and b's because they are normally homey, but we did not find the accommodation, breakfast setting or amenities inviting or warm. We would not go back and would not recommend it, even if the price was reduced.

Positives: Clean bed linens, pet friendly, good hot breakfast
Negatives: Old mattress which sagged in the middle, windowless cold basement room, requires cash, most expensive B&B on our transcanadian road trip
Comments: This was not the private retreat listed. Rooms are in a low ceiling, windowless, cold basement which smelled of moth balls. We could hear every word of our neighbors next door though the paper thin shared wall, including the snoring which kept us up half the night. The mattress has seen better days and I awoke in the middle of the night with back pain. Towels were stained, there was hair in the shower. Hot breakfast was good. Hospitality was lukewarm. Lucky for us, the best part about staying here was leaving.

facility in a nice quiet neighborhood across from Icelandic park. It is clean, comfortable, and elegant inside. Breakfast is filling, sophisticatedly served and presented and the coffee is brewed to perfection.
You could not asking for more accomodating people as owners Linda and Tom Brook. They are truly interested and concerned that you have a comfortable stay.
