A little too remote, family friendly but nothing to do good if all you want to do is boat, very very dusty not nice especially with campsites being so close to the road. It was like very fine sand made everything very dirty clouds of dust truck and trailer covered in fine dust did not enjoy that at all. Nice campers bilingual friendly people. We will not return to this campground.
Positives: Very pretty lake. there is a small beach you can go to for swimming about a 2-3kms away. Clean washrooms. Nice owners
Negatives: Very small little beach area on the property not very big.Facilities were good but nickle and dimed for everything 25 cents for a shower and $8 dollars for a small bundle of wood and would not allow your own wood had to buy from them.We were only allowed 3 people to a trailer and had to pay for 4th person as guest and then would not allow a small tent on our campsite for 4th person to sleep in we would be charged another 30 dollars a night just to have a tent on our campsite that we already paid for...we found that to be a money grab...ridiculous. We did not encounter this in any of the other 6 campgrounds we stayed at on our travels.
Unfortunately when you add up all the small fees of this camping site it quickly adds to 2-3x the price of any other. I brought my 2 dogs because they do allow dogs. Didn't mention anything about this on the phone but when I arrived it turned out there was an extra $7 per day in dog fees. My ex stopped by and brought the daughter out to stay a night. Guess what? There is a kid fee. They even tried to bill her a visitor fee for stopping by the site to drop off our daughter.
Positives: Nice Lake.
Negatives: Hidden costs. While every business has the right to make money I found this place was all about the hidden costs. They charge you for your kids. You pay by the tent. The firewood is quite overpriced by the amount you get and they don't allow you to bring your own. There was a fair bit of road noise from the traffic and it didn't make for a very peaceful stay. The beach is also pretty small.
