Negatives: noisy, golf carts everywhere, dogs barking constantly, quiet time ignored, there are no comforts of home, very misleading.
Comments: The rentals are listed as "All the comforts of home" and "all you need to bring is bed linen". Not true. We arrived with my 3 yrd old granddad and firstly, we just bought bed sheets and pillowcases, that is the meaning of bed linen, there were no pillows and no blankets, when speaking to front desk they told us that we would have to go into Grand bend and buy some, someone there loaned us some pillows but we had no blankets or duvet. The bathroom had no towels, facecloths or bathmat, we did bring our own beach towels, had to again borrow a bathmat. We paid for WIFI, tried to use it in the trailer only to be told "the WIFI isn't very good, and probably wont work in the trailer, try going outside in an open space(yeah in the rain!!) it was pretty useless. So decided to put on TV for the grandson, couldn't get any channels, only to be told there is no channels on DVD player, we have lots of DVD;s up at the office, true but about 20 years old!! Thought we would go and have fun in the 3 pools, the best pool with the slides was closed for renovations but was told it doesn't open anyway till July!! We tried the sandpit, that was closed also for renovations. Finally bedtime, quiet time was 11.00 pm yeah right try 2.30am, then if you did finally get to sleep on a 1/2 foam mattress that looked like it was the original mattress that came with the older trailer, you were woke up at 6.00 by golf carts & trucks. My son couldn't even fit in the bunk beds he had to sleep on the couch. My husbands back was almost broken when we got up in the morning from the mattress. For wht we paid per night we could have had a really nice hotel room, all bedding supplied, house keeping, towls, cable TV, free breakfast, pool, gym so guess where we will be staying next time.

Positives: Clean facilities
Let us pick our own site
Negatives: Camp director was stretched a little thin. It would have been nice to see more parents helping their children.
Comments: We stopped in without a reservation after hours, even though the main office had been closed down after hours staff were there to greet us. The kids program was amazing, we got to celebrate their mascot's birthday!! The seasonals there are super friendly, as well as the staff. We were offered an extended check-out since there would be nobody coming onto the site after us. We can't wait to come again (:

Positives: Clean. Seasonal people seem nice. Kids liked the pools. Close to Grandbend and many beaches.
Negatives: Too many golf carts driving too fast with drunks driving.. Fire too big on site beside us, luckily no burns on our roof just ashes. Ruin the time for us worrying. No one seems to be monitoring and making sure rules are enforced. Only recourse was to complain next day, no one really took us seriously.
Comments: I love to camp and have camp in many parks.

Positives: Clean the park grounds and washroom facilities very clean
3 pools, nice sites
Negatives: Food and Alcohol in pool area, dogs not leashed,
Noise after quiet time, to many vehicles on trailer lots,
Advertises Family Campground but seems more a party park, not
A place I would want to have my children spend
a lot of time at!
As a Family Campground they need to enforce
The rules and regulations they say are in place.
It would be nice to have security in the day hours
during the weekends along with night security.

Positives: Kids had fun on water slide, pool was warm, bathrooms very clean, very nice to have doggy waste bags aroung incase you forget yours, nice covered park.
Negatives: Tents were in the places for trailer sewer hookups instead of trailers, and trailers were in the place were tents could of been with water electric hookup. Trailers do need the sewer more than tents.
Not happy about this we needed the sewer for our gtoup of trailers so we used public restrooms instead of our own private facilities!
Also asked if we could stay a few hours extra on Sunday, so we could go to flea market and our response was with a not so nice tone check out was 11;00 and they needed that space which we found out people did not need our spot until early evening.
Comments: Had a decent time.

Positives: 3 swimming pools, activities for the kids
Negatives: GOLF CARTS,GOLF CARTS,GOLF CARTS!!!! They let anyone drive them. Kids, Drunks it doesn't seem to matter. They speed up and down the roads all day and kick up dust all over the place.....MAJOR Turn off!! I've never seen anything like it
Comments: Nice property, it's been around for a while so trees are huge and plenty of shade when you need it.

Comments: I have recently purchased a trailer at Rus-Ton, the experience was awesome. Jess was very friendly and helpful upon coming to the park to view trailers and when the move in happened Rob was a great help in helping me set up. Since being there almost every weekend since the purchase we have grown to love the park with daily programmed activities from 10-5 for kids, awesome trees that provide great shade, clean bathrooms, great staff, 3 pools with slides, 3 parks for kids- one is covered for those rainy days...the list goes on. I am looking forward to more summers at Rus-ton building family memories.
