Positives: Safe and clean. My children love the wagon ride and the park. They look forward to the family dances on the long weekends.
Negatives: None that I can think of.
Comments: My parents have been seasonal campers at this campsite for 15 years. I have enjoyed coming to the park with my kids to visit. Our family has made many many memories in this campground. It is clean, safe and always activities going on. Living in the city, it is wonderful to be able to let my children hop on their bikes and ride around the campground without any worries. The owners are very friendly and helpful and have really put a lot of effort into making this campground very clean and beautiful. Considering that this is a camping experience, I think the washroom facilities are quite clean considering the amount of people who use them in the park and the fact that it is a campground and not the Hilton.

Positives: The people that run the camp ground are friendly, curtious people, and are very helpfull. the camp ground is clean, and there is lots to do.
Negatives: Not really any, but if i had to find something i would say that the bathrooms could stand to be a little bit bigger, or a change area would be nice(for changing into and out of swim suits) but that's it, I will be coming back again for sure.
Comments: We stayed at a site in Possom Hollow, with some relitives, and it was great, perfect camping experiance. there were little to no bugs, it was quiet, and we had a lot of fun.

Positives: Kid and pet friendly. Firewood is sold at a reasonable rate..safe,friendly play areas. NO SIGNS OF PREDJUDICES, AS FORMERLY REPORTED.
Negatives: No beach for swimming...owners need to enforce dog feces pickup stricter. Hydro is not steady.....blow fuses.
Great place for families looking to.go camping where the owners are the staff. Friendly family park. No paved roads but well maintained and graded. Large lots.
We are returning for our second full season. Our children visiting with their families love the activities. Very pet friendly. Still remains a great place to take your family on an old fashion camping trip. Clean, salt water pool....

Positives: In regards to the commet by others about the roads not being paved-this is camping life. Love the pool and the events.
Comments: Our family has been going to Camp Hillbilly for several years during our vacation. The staff are friendly and helpful. There are both seasonal campers and vacationing families. We have never had any complaints. Our family enjoys the many events they have including corn roasts, the cardboard boat races and other events. Many are put on by the seasonal campers commitee.

I have been a seasonal camper at camp hillbilly for over 4 years.
I have never heard of 3 children or an adult getting hurt in 2009.
Maybe the adult who was supposed to have gotten hurt had a little too much to drink.
As far as racism is concerned I have not heard of any problems. I am not a racist and I do not like being called one.
What do you expect to see when you are camping? Frogs are a part of camping life.
Maybe the people who are giving camp hillbilly a bad rap were not the most pleasant campers and may have caused some problems there themselves.
I have enjoyed my stay there I will continue being a seasonal camper as long as possible.

Comments: Very poor service. Unpaved roads. Bathroom don't have soap. Maps are labelled uncorrectly (no beach or lake in the site) Permanent resident miss use the ladies batroom and compain that other camper did so, wrong accusation are applied. Water pipes don't work, minimum water comes out. Camp site smells like dirty laundry. Beer bottle caps were found all over the camping site. Camping ground contained no grass, was uneven and had frogs. No act of welcoming or assistance is shown to those that come. Not a camping site for kids or adults.

coming to this camp was one of the biggest dissapointments we've ever had.
the hillbilly camp website makes this camp seem decent, but its the comlete opposite when you actually get there.
hillbilly camp looks very discusting and dirty. the washrooms have no soap which makes everyone else have germs.
everyone is very rude, and gives dirty looks. lots of rasism in hillbilly camp.
i reccomend NO ONE to go there unless you are looking for the WORST experience of your life, and you want to see the worlds ugliest place with the ridest people and nastiest men, and womens washrooms.
this was a very poor and cheap camp.
3 children got injured at the park
1 adult got injured by just walking on the cheap ground.
a very discusting place.
all i know is that me and several pthers are NEVER ever coming back here.
