We stayed in cabin C1 (the small wood sheathed green roof cabin). There was a small kitchen with a smallish full size fridge/freezer and microwave, dishes, cutlery etc. and a queen bed behind a wall/divider and then a very small bedroom with a bunkbed, and a two piece washroom (VERY handy when you have littles ones). Most importantly there was A/C (window unit) and 2 ceiling fans. There is also a cot. It was quite nice inside – obviously quite new. We couldn't use the top bunk since there was no railing which was ok since our youngest is a baby in a playpen. There was also a large front porch. Our favourite things were the heated pool (quite big) and the splash pad with 2 kiddie pools (water temperature also comfortable) one with a slide. The pool was only about 100m (less actually) from our cabin. It was quite easy to keep an eye on the kids since it was gated and there is even a separation between the pool and kids area so you don’t have to worry about toddlers wandering over to the pool. There was also a large open cut grass area across from our cabin where our kids could run around, fly a kite etc. The map shows 8 cabins but as of now there are only 3. Each has its own picnic table and propane BBQ. We also enjoyed our trips to the pond to feed the fish. Walks in the woods were nice but watch out for the mosquitos and the poison ivy growing beside the trail. (Trail is wide enough to walk in the middle and not get into it if you’re careful.) The entire campground is well back from any roads, so it is a very peaceful location. The owners were very nice and accommodating to us. They clearly put a lot of work into the place. Every day we were there, there were workers out in the hot sun doing yard work and building what looks like a pirate ship - an expansion to the already nice splash pad. We liked that the pool was open until dusk. We really enjoyed our time - it was the perfect set up for a family with little ones. We took a 5 minute drive to Freelton to a cute ice cream/pizza/antique shop.
My only criticisms are minor. The first is that there is not enough shade – although it looked like they were in the progress of building some shelter at the splash pad. More trees in general at the park would be nice. A railing on the upper bunk needs to be added, but I recognize that the cabin was pretty new so maybe they will get to it. One other thing is that we only got 1 roll of toilet paper and 1 garbage bag. It would have been nice to have a few more, but I’m sure we could have got more if we asked, but the office is quite far from the cabin so we didn’t. Again, minor things – overall we had a great time. We are already thinking about going back again at the end of the summer. If you are thinking about camping there, some sites were shady (for tents) and the camper sites seemed open/sunny. Phoning or emailing the campground will give you quick and courteous response to any of your inquiries.

Comments: Very noisy, not suitable for families. Loud music over P.A. system until well after midnight.
