Positives: It was nearby. Convenient to get to.
Negatives: Very horrible staff. We called to book reservations, the staff told us it was $63. When we arrived, the charge beside $126...so double. They didn't tell we electricity was a separate fee. Had to call the phone number every time even though the office said OPEN...had to wait for a while until they can help us. They never sound like they want to help as if we're a hassle for them. We just had the vibe that they didn't even want us to be there.
Comments: Don't feel great staying here. Felt like we got ripped off. We made reservations, arrived on the day of and they told us we didn't make any reservations. They charged us everything on the day of without letting us know what they charged us for. We were suppose to put a deposit only. After we wanted to refund our campsite because we only needed one site and not 2. We went back to the office and had to wait for the staff/owner. We told him we didn't need 2 sites and he told us no refunds. So we paid for 2 sites when we only needed one. On the last day, we wanted to check out; they told us check out time was 12, so that's when we went to the office, but no one was there. We called them many times and no one picked up, when we clearly heard the phone rang inside their house beside the office. In the end, after a long wait, we just decided we'd call and leave a message saying we're leaving. What a horrible experience. Never coming to this campsite ever again.

Positives: Close to Buntzen Lake
Negatives: Rude Staff
Unclean bathroom & lacked regular supplies such as soap & toilet paper.
The campsite we stayed at was large enough for myself, husband, and 2 young children & was nicely kept. Although, my husband made the reservation and was told on the phone, by Linda, that we needed to make it by 6pm as she "wasn't going to be around". She ended up just sticking around which was good as we couldn't arrive until 7pm. The bathrooms were not very clean and the women's washroom had NO soap or toilet paper for the 2 nights we were there for. Also, the night before we left, the hose for the dishwashing station was unplugged and so dishwashing was out of the question the morning we were leaving. I even saw a woman washing her dishes in the bathroom sink just so she could have some hot water. We ended up leaving a few hours late on our check-out day (check out is 11am), and she was almost furious at us even though I did apologize. (We honestly didn't mean to leave that late.) Keep in mind, at this point the campsites were ALL empty so she couldn't be mad due to us taking up a spot for someone else. She even threatened to charge us for another day which seemed uncalled for as we were packing up.
All in all, it's a nice little campsite but we will NEVER go back there again all because of the owners. There are many wonderful campsites in BC to visit but this isn't one of them.

Comments: We arrived at the camping ground after calling and making a reservation. The owner Linda had told us we would have a space and to come at 2pm. We showed up a bit early and went to the office and talked to her husband about rates and how many nights we were staying. We then agreed on a site and paid for our four nights. We set up our site, my fiance used the washroom facilities and even to his standards they were disgusting! 2 hours after we had arrived and unloaded and set up our entire campsite, Linda came to our site and told us she had already reserved that campsite and the one next to ours for another family of 10. We then followed her to another campsite she thought might be available but soon found out they were not supposed to leave till the next morning. After waiting at the office for another half hour we were told that we could stay in the site across from ours, 'campsite 37'. This site was a joke. There was a small shed in the back, a picnic table made for children. There were no apologies, only blame pointed to us for showing up too early????!!? We give this campsite a one out of ten. We got a refund right away and will never be back.

Positives: I feel there is no positive side to a very rude customer service.
Negatives: Rude people managing the site. No sense of courtesy or decency.
Comments: I was invited by my friends to join their camping trip to Anmore Campground. We are a very decent group of professionals.I was there for about 2 hours-- 7pm to 9pm. We were rudely interrupted during our dinner by the owners- Linda was one of them. They told us that we couldn't stay there as there should only be 1 car for each campsite. But there were other campsites with two cars and what would they call those with trailers and motorhomes? But since we were a very acquiescing group of people, we said yes, we will be leaving by 10pm. But Linda and her partner did not budge and said "What are you waiting for?" Take your cars outside and come back to the site. Then you can walk back to the car at 10pm. It was around 8:45. So I did ask, "right now?"... and she said yes!. So my friends who paid for the campsite for two nights got offended by their rudeness, decided to leave with us. We were all out by 9pm.

Positives: The campground location is very close to Buntzen Lake. The lake is only about 5 - 10 minutes away by car.
Negatives: Nobody answers the phone when called.
Nobody was at the office most of the time while I was there.
Made reservation for a particular site and when I arrived at the campground it was given to another party.
The site I stayed in was missing a pinic table. I tried to contact someone at the office and the door was locked (during the day). So I had no table to use for the entire stay.
All the toilets in the ladies washroom were plugged and nobody to report to. It was real disgusted, unsanitized and unacceptable. Maybe they shouldn't advertized on their website "flush toilet".
Comments: The first time I was at Anmore campground was 12 years ago and had a great time. But last weekend I came back to the camp with my family not knowing the facilities had never been updated. The bathroom/shower was located in a basement of the "main building". It was so old, dirty and in such bad condition that I think I feel more clean before I went in than after showering. All six of the toilets except maybe one in the ladies washroom were plugged for the entire time I was there. This is unacceptable!
