Positives: Caught some small mouth Bass and one Pike
Negatives: $20 of firewood is very little. Cabins are very dated and bbq's are in rough shape. Boats are supposed to have swivel seats but only one of three boats we rented had seats. Not a pleasant experience for our 8 fisherman, would not return
Comments: Rented two cottages for a fishing weekend. Only one of the bbq's worked. Cabins and property are run down. Fires are prohibited before 7pm and owner has discretion if he would like you to have a fire

Positives: Location is quiet and the amenities were amazing, Satellite TV, Flat screen TV, old but comfy beds, fridge, stove, BBQ...EVERYTHING WAS CLEAN!!!
Negatives: Wood orders were a bit small, $20 of wood barely lasted through the night. It would have been nice if there would be more wood to make fires last a little longer.
Comments: Great guys weekend get away location, rented one of their cottages and it was great. VERY clean, BBQ Supplied with propane and nice clean fridge and stove to use. Hot water never runs out and could take a nice shower anytime. Full satellite TV with premium package (TMN / all sports networks etc...) Doug and his wife were great and so down to earth, we are already planning next year's trip.

Positives: The lady that works there and does her best to keep rec hall clean.
Negatives: The owner is a dirty looking guys with a smoke in one hand and a beer in the other, he is ignorant and lazy. all the staff sucks, could never find them
Comments: This place is a dump, grass in common areas not cut, store has nothing, playground is a nightmare, the rec hall was in poor shape,construction material piled around it of course not fenced off very "family friendly". The owner also allowed his dog to run free through out the park. Boat launch is in rough shape, beach full of weeds, the docks were falling apart, and the dockage is full of weeds.

Positives: Staff was always available, pet-friendly, economical, internet wi-fi, lovely river front, clean cottages.
Negatives: The negative was the fact that we had to leave.
Comments: I could not have been more comfortable than at River Haven on our vacation. The park is an original. The staff were always available when we needed them or wanted something. They never bothered us for anything. Everything was available for a simple relaxing time. We really enjoyed the river, low traffic and lots of beauty. We had a great time fishing with lots of fish even from shore.

Negatives: dirty and run-down;
people walking round with beer bottles;
the childrens' play area was badly maintained and looked unsafe (e.g. swings hanging from bent bits of wire);
the jetty was falling apart, and one has already fallen apart; and
the guy overcharged us for two days, when we only stayed one night
Comments: This place was the worst RV park we have encountered. It was dirty and run-down; people walking round with beer bottles; the childrens' play area was badly maintained and looked unsafe (e.g. swings hanging from bent bits of wire); the jetty was falling apart, and one has already fallen apart; and the guy overcharged us for two days, when we only stayed one night.

Positives: staff were always available
everything was available
lovely river front - low traffic or river
clean cottages and supplies
Negatives: needed to arrange ahead of time to get our dates especially to get the river front view
Comments: I could not have been more comfortable than at River Haven on our trip around near north Ontario. The park is an original. The staff were always available when I needed them or wanted something AND they were invisible at other times. It was exactly as I recall cottages my parents rented. Everything was available for a simple, no fuss, relaxing time. I was surprised to find internet access and a little convenience/hardware store on site. These folks are dog-lovers and enjoyed our two like their own, with only a few common-sense directives. The place was a retreat, to let go and unwind. We really enjoyed the river, low traffic and lots of beauty. This is not a SPA but an old-fashioned cottage experience with maintenance on-site and internet. Suited us and our budget perfectly.

Positives: Nice river, great fishing.
Negatives: Cottages are dirty and outdated. I did not like the staff, I only saw one and had a poor attitude.
Comments: Did not like the accommodations. Place was dirty and run down.
