My family (19 month old infant boy, pregnant wife and I) stayed at Dave's RV site during the May Victoria Day long weekend 2012. When we first arrived (and paid in advance) at Dave's RV and pulled in we thought, wow this is not too bad of a site and looks pretty good. The grass was cut and the sites were a pretty good size. For camping in Vanderhoof, BC this was not too bad. There were approximately 40 sites with only 4-5 sites which had RV's on them.
On the first evening we were having problems getting our hot water tank to produce hot water. My parents (almost seniors who reside in Vanderhoof) well experienced RV'ers, came out at 9:30pm to check on us to see if we got our hot water working as we did not have a cell phone. My parents drove their car to our site and within 2 minutes, Dave walked over and started yelling at us with respect to visitor parking. My parents and I were absolutely blown away with being treated like this as well as my baby boy was asleep our RV and we were standing right next to it. My parents left the site within a few minutes as I was able to get my hot water working.
The following afternoon (still only 4-5 RV sites occupied at this time), I was driving out of the RV site at 6:00pm to go purchase a few things from the store and I noticed a gentlemen outside of his RV trailer and truck (similar truck as mine) with Texas licence plates. I asked him how his truck pulled his RV (7000lbs) from Texas as I was thinking about upgrading my half ton to a one ton. Within, 2-3 minutes, Dave walking over and starting yelling/screaming at me with respect to "You can't park here." I told him I was not parked here and I was only talking with this person from Texas for a moment. Dave continued to yell at me about parking and what if someone drove up behind you. I advised Dave then I would move. The look on the gentlemen's face from Texas was he was BLOWN AWAY that Dave would yell at you for something so small.
I would not recommend this campground to anyone. Back ground on us. We are a quite family who very much love our RV camping. We have been RV camping for 5 years and have never experienced anything like this. We are not young people who party while camping, we only go to quite family orientated RV sites.
Once again, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this RV campground.
